Objectives of the Project:

CHILDLINE stands for a friendly 'didi' or a sympathetic 'bhaiya' who is always there for vulnerable children 24 hours of the day, 365 days of the year. A phone number that spells hope for millions of children across India, CHILDLINE is India's first 24-hours free emergency phone service for children in need of aid and assistance. It not only responds to the emergency needs of children but also link them to services for their long-term care and rehabilitation. CHILDLINE is a platform bringing together the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India, Department of Telecommunications, street and community youth, non-profit organisations, academic institutions, the corporate sector and concerned individuals. It works for the protection of the rights of all children in general.

Major Outcomes:

Every month CHILDLINE teams conducted more 30 activities to sensitize people, of various kinds on different occasions and made them aware. Child line teams arranges Medical support, Educations Support , Career guidance on one phone call, They rescue child labours, stop Child marriages etc. Vikalp Samajik Sanstha, Mandsaur is a member in City Advisory Board (CAP) at district level.

CHILDLINE teams, conducts meeting at city level with the support of Labour Department; these meetings were based on make an action plan of Elimination of Child Labour and how to improve education and health of children under the 14 years of age. In this action plan CHILDLINE Teams played an important role with the coordination of Education, WCD, Labour and Health Department.
